Neon typography of my hometown, Košice - Slovakia. Aesthetics of advertising in socialist public space was an object of fascination for me since I was a child. Instead of promoting a brand, these signs were just communicating what kind service are they providing or what type of good are they selling. Banality of the messages they carried was characteristic by hight quality typography and letterings, which is in total opposition to the flood of cheap branding in our streets today. In this posters I collected pieces which I knew from historic photos. Signs dissapeared soon after collapse of regime.
